The VPR series of regulators are designed to control vacuum pressure down to 1/100 psi, or a few mm of water gauge, on sensitive production processes such as small tube extrusion. The regulator balances the vacuum pressure against the tension of a low rate spring and allows enough air into the vacuum chamber to maintain the balance. With the vacuum relief valve hung vertically on the balance spring and literally floating on a cushion of air, friction is negligible. A vernier knob permits precision adjustment of the vacuum setting without any chance of causing a sudden disturbance. |
